Coaching Yourself with the Hour of Power

One of the most powerful coaching tools I share with my clients is the Hour of Power. This is not about cramming more into your day or working harder—it’s about creating a structured but flexible container that helps you reset, focus, and move forward with intention. Coaching is ultimately about helping you become more aligned with your values, and the Power hour is a simple way to do that in everyday life.

Why do Coaches Love the Hour of Power

When I’m coaching women, we often uncover the same themes: too many demands, not enough time, and the feeling of being stretched in all directions. That’s where coaching with the Hour of Power comes in. It’s an invitation to carve out sixty minutes a week where you become your own coach. This is your time to pause, reflect, plan, and reset—before the world rushes back in.

Coaching isn’t just about the big breakthroughs; it’s about building small, consistent practices that help you thrive. By setting aside an Hour of Power, you give yourself the space to ask the coaching questions that matter: What worked this week? Where did I get stuck? What do I want to focus on next?

How to Use the Hour of Power in Coaching Yourself

Your Hour of Power can take many forms, but here’s a simple coaching structure to guide you:

  1. Reflect (15 minutes)
Coaching begins with awareness. Use this time to journal about the week that’s been. Notice where your energy went, what gave you joy, and what drained you.

  2. Plan (30 minutes)
This is where coaching meets practicality. Look at the week ahead. Block out time for movement, self-care, and the non-negotiables that support your wellbeing. Coaching teaches us that if it’s not scheduled, it’s often not done.

  3. Reset (15 minutes)
Coaching always finishes by anchoring the learning. Close your Hour of Power with something grounding—breathing exercises, mindfulness, or simply writing down three intentions for the week ahead.

Why Coaching + the Hour of Power Works

Through coaching, I’ve seen how transformative this practice can be. Women who felt overwhelmed and reactive start to feel calmer, clearer, and more confident. The Hour of Power isn’t just a scheduling tool—it’s a coaching framework that helps you step out of autopilot and into conscious choice.

When you show up for your Hour of Power, you’re not just planning your week. You’re coaching yourself to live with more purpose, presence, and power.

Coaching is about helping you live vibrantly. Try your own Hour of Power this week and see how different life feels when you coach yourself with intention.
