Podcast and Long term goals

From Fear to Fulfilment: The Power of Long-Held Goals and Brave First Steps

In 2022, I quietly scribbled down a goal: Speak on a podcast.
At the time, it felt big. Bold. Maybe even a little far-fetched.

Fast forward to now—I did it. I spoke on a podcast.

And while it might seem like a small checkbox to some, for me, it was monumental. Not just because of the recording itself, but because of everything it took to get there: the growth, the doubts, the moments I nearly backed out, and ultimately, the deep sense of pride I now feel for following through.

The Wobbly Day Before

Let me be honest—I almost cancelled the day before.
The old voices crept in:
“What if I mess it up?”
“What if I sound nervous or rambly or forget what I wanted to say?”
“Who do I think I am, anyway?”

We all have those moments—where our comfort zone wraps its arms around us, trying to keep us safe. But comfort, while cozy, can also be the very thing that holds us back from the magic.

Goals Take Time (And That's Okay)

This wasn’t a goal I smashed out in a month. It simmered in the background of my life for over two years. And I think that’s an important part of this story—goals don’t always come with deadlines. Some goals need space. They need time for us to grow into the version of ourselves who can carry them.

Because when I first wrote that goal, I wasn’t quite ready. Setting it planted a seed. And I nurtured it over time—through coaching, self-reflection, mindset work, and stretching gently beyond my edges.

The Aftermath: Pride, Possibility, and a New Dream

After the recording, I felt lighter. Braver. Proud—not just of the words I shared, but of the courage it took to show up and be seen. And now? I’m dreaming even bigger.

I want to start my own podcast—a space to share real stories of transformation, courage, and reinvention. A place for women, especially in midlife, to hear what’s possible when we dare to change, heal, and rise. Because change can be liberating. And our stories are powerful beyond measure.

If You’re Sitting on a Goal…

Maybe you have a quiet dream scribbled in a notebook. Maybe it's been there for months… or even years. This is your reminder: don’t give up on it.

Your timeline is perfect.
Your pace is enough.
And the discomfort you feel along the way? That’s a sign you’re growing.

So write the thing. Say yes to the opportunity. Reach out for support.
Your future self will thank you.
