Why I became a Life Coach

From Hospital Nursing to Educating Nurses to Heartfelt Coaching: How 30 + Years in Healthcare Shaped My Mission to Help Women Thrive

After three decades in healthcare, I’ve seen a lot. I’ve walked beside people through illness, recovery, birth, loss, healing, and transformation. I’ve held space in hospital corridors and hospital rooms. I’ve listened, advocated, and supported through the most vulnerable and powerful moments of life.

And through it all, one truth kept returning to me:
We are capable of so much more than we believe—when we feel truly seen, supported, and empowered.

That belief is the foundation of my coaching work today.

Nursing Taught Me Compassion, Coaching Helps Me Expand It

As a registered nurse, I learned to read between the lines—what wasn’t being said, what was hiding behind the “I’m fine.” I developed a deep respect for how complex and nuanced our inner lives really are.

In coaching, I get to take that understanding even further. Rather than treating symptoms or managing crises, I now help women reconnect with themselves before they reach the breaking point. I work with women who’ve spent years—often decades—putting others first and are now ready to explore what it means to put themselves on the list again.

What I Do as a Coach for Women

My coaching isn’t about quick fixes or becoming a “new you.” It’s about coming home to the person you’ve always been, under the layers of responsibility, caregiving, or self-doubt.

Here’s how I support women to live better, more fulfilling lives:

🌱 1. Mindset Reset

We explore the beliefs and inner narratives that are keeping you stuck—like “I don’t have time,” “I’m too old,” or “I have to keep everyone else happy first.” Together, we rewrite those stories, so they work for you, not against you.

💬 2. Compassionate Coaching Conversations

I create a safe, non-judgemental space where you can pause, reflect, and dream. This isn’t therapy—but it is deeply therapeutic. You’ll leave each session feeling lighter with clarity, confidence, and real tools to make changes that feel doable.

🌿 3. Health + Wellness with a Heart

I bring a holistic lens to our work—drawing from my nursing background and knowledge of the nervous system, burnout recovery, and wellness practices that actually work for real women in real life.

🔄 4. Sustainable Change

This isn’t a bootcamp. We build change slowly, intentionally, in ways that honour your life stage, your energy, and your values. My clients often say, “I feel like myself again—but stronger.”

Who I Work With

I work with women of all ages and truly love supporting women in their 50s and 60s. These women are navigating transitions—empty nests, career shifts, caring for aging parents, or simply the quiet ache of asking, “Is this it?”

They’re ready for something more. Not louder or busier—but richer. More grounded. More in alignment with who they really are now.

And they want someone who gets it—who can walk beside them with warmth, wisdom, and a few decades of real-life perspective.

Why It Matters

I became a coach not because I left healthcare, but because I wanted to expand it. To offer a kind of care that’s preventive, empowering, and deeply personal.

Because living a better life isn’t selfish—it’s vital. When women take care of themselves, the ripple effect touches families, workplaces, and entire communities.

So, if you’re standing at a crossroads, or quietly craving more meaning, confidence, or connection… know this:

You already have everything you need. I just help you uncover it.
